With only a couple exceptions, Northstar engines are like the geriatrics of the V8 world. I can’t think of a less exciting V8 this side of a Lexus badge.

The problem is that the Northstar isn’t cool in this context. I like the fwd applications because they’re unbelievably stupid, which makes them characterful. Here, in an FR layout, it’s just doing a shittier job than an LS would have. I think Mr. Regular’s point stands - unless the Northstar is somehow waaaaay more smooth than a contemporarty LS, in which case I can understand why it was used in a luxo-corvette.

This one is not his best. Let’s be honest, RCR is like family guy. Some people find the 5 minute fight scene with the yellow costume chicken funny, and some think it’s really dumb. You either find his manner of comparing cliches and overextended stereotypes funny or you don't, you'll find it grating.

What he said about the north star probably isn’t false, it’s got a lower ceiling for tuning, it probably has worse reliability numbers than the LS, but everyone has opinions. The Springsteen stuff and boats are less of disses, and more about pointing out cliches. It’s okay to be cliche sometimes.

I wouldn’t take anything he says too personally.

Also, how did he not mention that the XLR is way better looking than the C5, again, in my opinion.

I’m a little late to this hanging, but I already burned him on the YouTube video comments section. I volunteered ELWOOD for his review of the XLR-V and left hin a link to my video of ELWOOD doing 160+MPH at the Texas Mile. I also commented on his site with corrections of all the misinformation in the video.

I’d hope he was just having a bad day, but since I haven’t heard from hin, I guess he sooner forget he posted this trash.
